GUARD your HEART!

Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. Proverb 4:23 AMP

Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23 NKJV

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23 NIV

Watch, Keep, Guard your heart. You must be attentive, careful, persistent, consistent, determined, and continual in keeping watch/guard over your heart. Why? Out of your heart FLOWS the issues of life.

Your heart SPEAKS. There is action coming from within you. Whether what flows out is good or bad depends on what you are harboring in your heart.

  1. We all have affections, love, but we cannot allow the love that we have for others push us into the wrong direction.

  2. We must not allow our wants and desires be careless, amiss and all over the place. Wanting everything. Desiring everything we see. We must set boundaries on those things or that can over take us. We will never be satisfied or content with anything.

  3. We must set goals and know that we have a destiny to reach. In order to reach that destiny we must know that we are worth reaching it. We cannot allow ourselves to become sidetracked with anything that will lead us to sin. If you have to separate yourself from certain places, people or things in order to ensure that you are not tempted, then do it. Your heart depends on your obedience to Christ.

Above ALL else GUARD your HEART. Examine yourself this morning and see what is flowing out of your heart. When the world sees the love, discipline, self-control, longsuffering, etc… They will know Him by our love.

Speak Life is an amazing book. This book has changed my life in so mnay ways.  The prompts are so powerful and will have you looking at your space and the company you keep through different lenses. I feel like a ten lb weight has been lifted off of me after reading this, following the prompts, and being more sensitive to the spirit.  Latoya is amazing, she was there throughout the entire process with encouragement and a beautiful message from God.
